Our Team come from a wide range of sport backgrounds including GB Ice Hockey, England Cricket, American Football, Bikini and Bodybuilding Athletes. We pride ourselves on not being like chain gyms where your just another statistic, here every member counts and is valued.

James is qualified in Level 2 Gym Instructor, Level 3 Personal Trainer, Level 3 Nutrition, Level 3 Exercise GP Referral, Level 4 Low Back Pain, Circuit Training, Group Cycling, Level 3 Exercise for Adolescents.

James Pearcy
James has been working in the fitness industry since 2010 and has gained experience and knowledge specializing in weight loss through HIIT and weight training. James will get results for his clients by keeping them motivated throughout whether it during training or nutritional support. He is continually developing his skills to bring better results and client satisfaction and also teaches a variety or small group training and classes.

Ben Wylie

I am a level 3 Personal Trainer, and a class instructor. I am highly passionate about health & fitness and making sure clients work to there full potential and reach their goals. Weather that is weight loss or gaining muscle mass or just maintaining fitness levels. I first started going to the gym at the age of 21 and from there my passion for fitness has never stopped. I am a driven and motivated person who is dedicated to fitness and reaching client goals. I’m always happy to talk about any questions you may have or give advice to the best of my knowledge.

James "Jimmy" Millard
James is South Coast Gym’s very own England international cricketer.  James works extremely closely with his England strength and conditioning coach to ensure that he maximises his training and performance to its full potential.  James has a real passion for mobility and building strength around good quality of movement.  He is keen to support others in their training to aid their development and fitness goals.

Laurie Hendy
Laurie has 10 years of gym experience and is a personal trainer specializing in athletic conditioning and strength training. He is an ex Inline and Ice Hockey player who has been part of national championship winning teams and has competed at an International level, representing GB in the World Championships.

 


Phoebe Hagen
Phoebe is a IFBB PRO Bikini Athlete, she competed intentionally in 2017 Arnold Classic in Barcelona one of the biggest competitions in Europe, placing in the top six and in 2018 in Spain to win her IFBB PRO Card. She also featured in the BBC program where she transformed Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts. Phoebe has a huge passion for fitness but also helping others transform their bodies to what they want it to be. She specialises in customising nutrition, workout plans, teaching people to weight train and has set up her own online coaching business.

Dr Anna Flanagan                                            Being active has been a huge part of my life. I was a professional Athlete for over 10 years and Ukraine in Steeplechase champion.  I've got a Master’s degree in PE and a PhD in Sport Science and have been a Personal Trainer for over 9 years now.  I specialise in Women’s Fitness and believe that when it comes to training and diet for weight loss, women should be treated differently from men (taking into account all the hormonal changes). I offer one 2 one and semi-private tailored sessions with focus on nutrition and long-lasting results. My mission is to look after those women who are too busy taking care of others and forget about themselves.

I am a trained Kickboxer and have competed in full contact kickboxing fights, which includes a Southern Area title win. I am passionate about the sport and the fitness training that comes with it . I enjoy pushing and motivating people with my tailored personal training sessions and also in my kickboxing classes,  helping people to achieve their fitness aspirations.
